I have had troble with this for a couple of weeks
my fuel pump isnt pumping enuff fuel into the carb
the manual pump pumps gasoline into the filter and when you start the engine it sucks it all out and then never fills back up during run time
but after awhile the enginge dies and you can sit there for a litt bit and it will fill back up but thats my problem
I think i can just get a electric pump and that might fix it

Have you checked the hoses from the fuel pump back to the tank? They get dried out and if they leak the pump will suck air instead of fuel. Or the sock on the end of the pickup in the tank could be plugged.

If the engine will start back up after it has been sitting for a bit then you probably have a partially plugged fuel filter. Had an old Buick that did that every single time the filter started to get plugged
