Just some food for thought. I'll bet the guy with the Audi jusy used too coarse a grain of sand. The sand went through the intake, scuffing off aluminum, and the aluminum deposited on the rings making them tight and having too much sealing against the cylinder walls. So maybe it would work if you try a finer sand and coat it with WD-40 so the aluminum won't stick to the rings. Waiting for your thoughts.

the sand idea is all wrong, of course its a joke, everyone knows you have to drop a bottle of Rumpleminse (of Ever Clear if you can find it) into the intake. cleans everything out, ports polishes and my friend who works on his NOS edition civic says I wont need a flamethrower exhaust either!
