Are there any major differences between motorhome 460s and pickup 460s? I'm looking to replace the tired 460 in my 89 F250 with a low mileage 460 from a 92 motorhome. Just wondering if I'm gonna run into anything unexpected, thanks in advance
i think theyre the same, but all ya really have to do is take a peak at the 460 motor home and make sure its EFI. if it is, itll plug right up to all the stuff in your engine bay.
It's in the chassis of a 30 some odd foot class a motorhome actually, with no body on it. And I don't have to do the pulling. If I had to pull it out with the body on, I wouldn't even mess with it.
Well T2L0 is the program code for the program that is in the computer.
The drawing number of the computer is F2 (1992), P (Autolite/Motorcraft),
F (Engine Accessories), 12A650 (base part number for all computers),
ANA (Design Change).
The program code is a code for the program that is burned into the chip that was wrote from the standard logic code LHBH1 text file that is 1,337 pages long. The code changes for the different look up tables for each type truck or in this case Motorhome that uses this LHBH1 text file.
The drawing number that is on the computer (the F2P number) will correspond to the program code.
I didn't know if you had a way to find out what the specific part number, or tune number actually meant, (more power, less power, ect.), or how that computer would be different from a pick up computer
And my truck (89) has a ZF-5, hence the question about swapping flywheels...

It was more than likely used on a pick up also but the pick up would be a 1992 or 93 F250 or 350 with a 460, E4OD and have the same Thermactor System (Secondary Air Injection) on it.
I know it was used in a 1992 F450 also.
Most salvage yards, auto part stores and on line sellers go by the drawing number that is on the computer. Ford does not put a part number on any part. Only Ford dealers go by the part number and it is subject to change and often does.
I think the Ford unit you took this out of was a 1991 or someone changed the computer.
I know this computer was used in a:
Year : 1991
Make : Ford
Make (other): Holiday Rambler 1000
Model: F-Series
Engine: 460/7.5 EFI - E4OD Trans
By the way the EFI-SD36E code on it is for the hardware inside the ECM (PCM).
