I'm still around..
But, Been looking at other trucks as well since the stick is getting to hard for the wife to drive. I may have found one, it's a 2000 F-350 crew cab 4x4 long bed centurian conversion, one owner, 124,000 miles for under 11,ooo. However it has some issues, poping or clicking sound when you turn or just starting out, maybe axle u-joint or hub staying locked in, trany seems a little slugish seems to slip a little when starting out. On the plus side it has the bigger garret turbo and still a forged-rod engine and in my price range.
Thanks all, it's good to be back... Later, Bill
I would think that if the motor and trans are OK, the rest is simple bolt-up replacement stuff, including suspension and drive-line.
Good to see you around again. Though your hours are long, at least you've got a job! In today's reality (and in the rust belt), that's not always the case....

After talking it over with the wife, it only leaves us 7 weeks before vacation to get it ready, might not sell the old one soon enough, youngest son is getting married in Sept. ect, ect,.. not enough funds to go around.
