Hub Assembly Problem
Well, I have 171000 on my 2004 F250 Diesel. I discovered I needed a new Hub Assembly on the drivers side. I completed the job without any serious issues. The other side wasn't as bad, but I decided to do it the next day. Now I have a problem. I took the Hub Assembly off and discovered that the back of the bub was grinding on the axle shaft. The plastic piece between them is completely missing or part of all the metal shavings I found. It now appears that I have to remove/replace allot more. The question is what? I don't have any parts pictures of the HUB so I don't know what and how to replace everything. The truck is stuck up in the air in my driveway and I guess I have to take the ball joints off and take all the old parts to the ford dealer to figure out what I need? Does anyone have links to parts pictures? I will try to get some pictures for everyone.
