I made a 5000 mile trip from Northern Ontario to Phoenix and back last winter. Cruising mostly between 75 and 82 mph. Hand calculated at 26 mile per Canadian gallon, which would be about 22 US gallon. On shorter 300 miles trips, and at 60 - 65 mph, I get from 28 to 32 Canadian MPg.
Our Imperial gallon has 5 US quarts....so 20% more.
My wife's 07 AWD Edge gets 20 all day. We just returned from vacation in Maine and got 22 mpg's there and back (to MA) with the car filled with crap. And it still moves out pretty good.
I am a little jealous of you guys, my wife driving around town gets 16-18. I can do a little better but not much. I have gotten 25 on the hwy. For just a base V6 FWD, this thing will move though. I had to pass a slow moving tractor one day and stuck my foot in it. I was very impressed with the power. Torque steer can be a little scary when your not ready for it.
Anyone know the real world Flex MPG? Looking for something to augment the 10mpg from the V10, family friendly and not liking the mini-van...
If you have ECOBOOST wAWD...read my post # 4.
And my foot is heavy.
FYI: I don't know where the speed limiter is set but, I have had this twin turbos to 105...by accident . This car is so smooth it shoots like an arrow when passing.
