Hey guys,I didn't want to go too off topic so I'll ask this in general. If on a vehicle that has"P" load range tires,if the tire is replaced with an"E" load range tire will the ride suffer THAT much,I know the "E" load range are going to be stiffer, which is why I'm considering going up...LOL...Obviously I'm not asking about my truck...Thoughts
Goodyear makes the Wrangler SilentArmor in that size in Load range C. Any goodyear dealer should be able to get them. BF Goodrich makes the AT T/A KO in load range C in that size as well.
There are others. Maybe your local tire shop is being lazy and just quoting you what they have in stock? Perhaps you should be looking at the online tire retailers?
Anyway, on that ride, I'd say Load range C or E would be fine. Myself, I wouldn't put a P-metric tire on that vehicle.
As to your original question, in something that weighs as much as your Tahoe, I'd suspect that Load Range E would be noticeably stiffer, but probably liveable. You wouldn't want to run them at max pressure, obviously. that would be awful.
You could ask the folks in the Expedition forum, as that's about a comparable vehicle, and people there probably have some firsthand experience.
