Has anyone used a Dual Cluster Bezel from Autometer? I bought one from an online vendor over a year ago. I could not get it to fit so I sent a couple of emails to the vendor and got no response. Not any! You know one of those vendors that spouts off about their customer service .....on their site. Anyway, I pulled it out of storage recently and tried again to mount it in my Excursion. Still would not fit."duh". All that said to ask, has anyonemounted the bezel sucessfully and if so how???? Anyone have close up pics. Thanks for reading.
The bezel will not fit back into the opening. I can't push it hard enough to close the gaps on the top right and left sides. The general shape looks similiar but it just doesn't fit. I'll post a couple of pictures tomorrow
I had a couple of body shops take a look at it. They agreed that it would not work. It has the correct part number per Autometer's website.
I guess I will take it as a $50+ lesson learned.
Thanks Clay. You are always ready to help. Some other vendors should be as responsive.
Take some pics and show me what you mean. I have one in my truck and in my Excursion but the headliner is the same. Maybe we can figure it out for you.
Here are five pictures of the bezel or whatever it's called that I was trying to mount in my Excursion. I may be missing something but no matter how hard I push and pull, it doesn't fit. If I were to get it fitted I don't know how it could be held in place. Thanks for looking and any suggestion appreciated.
Sheryle
It looks like you have the wrong piece. If the part number on it is correct, I'd say it's marked wrong. The corner doesn't even look like it's close to matching.
Your pics are getting closer. If you want them to auto populate, click reply or go advanced and choose the yellow square with the mountain in it, then paste your PB link in the new window.
No problem. Autometer doesn't list it for an Excursion or Super Duty any longer. Must be more issues. I will probably be in touch soon to order the overhead quad. Thanks Clay and Locknload.

Sheryle,
Lots of room to run wires through the A-piller to the mirror location.
2 small screws (hex head) hold each side of the handle/A-pillar in place.
Pull the door gasker/molding away from the door jamb along the A-pillar
to help pull the handle/A-pillar out enough.
Then feed the wire(s) from above into the big hole
then just reach up from under the dash (remove the fuse panel cover).
Lots of room to neatly bundle of excess wire behind there too.
I installed my Blendmount last week and it looks great above the mirror,
I got my cubby back. Now, I hope I will stop looking "down" for the
scangauge2.

Just googled the Blendmount, nice! My issue is the length of the cable. How did you extend it?
The blendmount kit comes with an extension cable & in-line adaptor.
It allows you to connect 2 CAT5 cables together to make it longer.
It also had a bunch of other HW to help get it to fit just right,
it even had hex wrenches to fit all the screws.
HINT: attach it to the mirror while sitting in the PASSENGER seat).
