Would you be better selling the dana 60 and buying a 1979 f350 dana 60 which will bolt in?

ok man this is not as much of a job as u think u will need to take all of ur measurements n have the spring perches on ur new rear spaced out to fit ur leaf springs i always reccomend replacing the u-bolts roll it under ur trk n bolt it in (u will need the steering bars & brakes n calipers) that go w the new rear u will need to have ur pitman arm milled out to fit the new draglink u should run a 4in drop pitman arm because u will need to reclock ur pitman arm to where it points to the front instead of out the side of ur trk the biggest part of this is if ur trk is lifted because u will need to ck for clearance for the pitman arm then it just hookin up brake lines u will def need to get everything lined up now ive done one of these but its been a few years but im sure that someone will let u know if i missed something but its no different than straight axeling a 80-97 n we do atleast 5 a year if it goes well u should have it done in a day we do the 80-97s in around 6hrs so just take ur time n double ck everthing

My advice to you is sell the D60 you have and get the right one from a '79. The one you have is still worth money why not sell it and get the right one. It would be a whole lot less work and will fit better. I think the overall width of the one you have is wider and probably wont look quite right when its under it.
