Hey guys, I'm new here and to be honest, I don't know a whole lot about these trucks. I am looking for a little advice on how to install an amp in my 2000 Ford Excursion. A few questions:
What is the best way to get the power wire through the firewall?
What is the best way to get the remote wire and RCA's to the radio without all of the wires showing?
What is the best way to get the power wire through the firewall?
An existing grommet with other wires already coming through it. If there isn't enough room there, drill a new hole. If you drill, use a grommet that fits snugly against the cable.

Under the carpet and/or panels. The easiest run is usually along the kick panels. Pretty much depends on where the amp ends up.
Ok cool, thanks for the help. Do you have any idea which side of the firewall might be easier to get through? I have two batteries so I can run it on either side without any issues.
The drivers side is usually more accessible. There's always more room under that side. Here's a pic of the SD where I ran my 4 ga. into the cab. Found this empty grommet behind the sound proofing, probably for an accessory I don't have. I punched the hole and ran the cable. Done deal.
Here's an example of the space under the driver's side. There's so much room under the pedals I'm going to mount my 4 channel amp there. This is a quick mock up. Again I apologize for the pic. I overdid the flash a tad.
I will get some hopefully after I clean it up a bit! Right now as everything sits, I am running:
2 Rockford Fosgate P32D-10 subs (LOUD!)
Kenwood KAC-7205 1000 watt amp (not even close to enough power...)
Sony GT550UI head unit
Anyone want to give any suggestions for what settings to run on the head unit? I have played around with it and gotten it to a pretty good point but I am interested to see what you guys run yours at.. Thanks!
