trans conversion

found this and seems pretty solid start for a 4 speed. i wanna hook this up to my 64 lwb 2wd with a 312 y. beins this is my dd, how speedy could this be dropped in a fitted for my truck? whats all necessary?

correct bell housing, depending on size maybe new flywheel and clutch, a 2wd tail piece, correct driveshaft (custom maybe), and for kicks i'd bend my own shifter.

as for time how good are you?

That trans will have the Ford "butterfly" bell to trans pattern. Your bell has the old square pattern. You may be able to drill that new trans to fit. Pics of the two patterns here:

Second picture down, note the right side trans has 8 holes. The inner holes should match your bell, the outer holes should match the new trans.

The other issue is depth, so measure the input shaft against your current trans. Info on such and more here:
