etching primer/powder coat
Im replacing my Diff.cover on my 75 hb,its unpainted steel. Should I ethcing primer it first before powder coat?Thanks dave

you should probably ask the powder coating company that you are going to use what their requirements are.
I always thought powder coating was done over bare metal, but I don't know for sure

Powder coating requires bare metal. The part is negatively charged while the powder is positively charged so the powder sticks to the bare metal.
