Fuel mileage stinks
Bought our 2002 Ford crew cab 7.3 diesel truck last Fall. Mileage wasn't great so we sunk $1600 into having chip and new exhaust system installed. Result was pretty much zip, zero, zilch. Any ideas????? We are willing to listen to any and all suggestions as with the price of fuel as it is now, we have already been forced to cancel a planned trip to Alaska (from Montana)... it was either that or a second mortgage to pay for the fuel!!!!

What in the world did you put on there for 1600$, did you upgrade the air intake? Using synthetic oils in everything in the truck will help, and i mean everything. Driving habits staying under 70mph or 2000 rpm helps, stock tires or no bigger than 285's and 60psi of tire pressure will help. No mud tires, they kill fuel mileage.
