Change door lock

Does anyone know ho w to change the door lock on a 52? tried to access through littlle panel..but cant quite get it. Does the whole door panel come off?doesnt look like it..Tha x would really appreciate it.

Look under the weatherstripping on the edge of the door. You'll find a hole and inside that is a set screw - should be an allen head. Back the allen screw out and the door lock will then remove.

There is a pin on the far end of the arm that may require you to twist the lock 90 deg to free it. The pin is very small and breaks off easily.

Or you can get the door lock cylinder re-keyed to your ignition key. Any experienced locksmith should be able to do it. It's not that expensive, considering the problems you could have if the set screw is frozen or the head gets stripped when removed.

yes i did find it after i posted it..i looked through the door panel access and saw where it lead to.thanx for the reply really appreciate it..Man i love my 52 fat fender truck..she looks good no matter what condition its in!..but im working on her!
