i got 4 links to videos of my truck idleing the first one is first start up i let it run on normal idle for 5 mins before turning up high idle i have to chips in the truck the seccond video is high idle after its been going for 15 mins. third video is it idleing after warm up and fourth is just me reving it a little the truck smokes quite excessive and i got the project on hold till i can figure out its reason for smoking this much. if you watch the videos let me know what you think
the trucks body has 398000 KM now i dont know whats on that motor cause its not the original motor on it but id have to say atleast 200000 km i know the truck was chipped before the truck seems to run fairly smooth ive started it when it was -25C and it started up no problem. would a bad o ring cause this
but if it was puking oil downt the exhaust pipe wouldnt it take a bit for the oil to heat up and burn. would it smoke like this if oil was getting into the fuel
I can't help but to notice the metric jibber jabber....where are you from?
I can't watch the videos.
How old is the oil...is it low?
New O-rings can never hurt.
haha im from saskatchewan canada small town in the south eastern part of the province and the oil is fresh it only has couple hundred k on it. are the o rings hard to change
The O-rings are not that hard to change. You should think about doing the GP's at the same time (since you are already there). I would even think about rebuilding the fuel filter houseing ( more O-rings) as well. SkatchUwhere-a? cool, I hear it is nice up there!
the glow plugs are good i know that im just trying to figure out the smoke thing its not the end of the world the truck still goes pretty good i can burn rubber into 3rd. whitewood sask canada and its alright if you can stand cold winters and stupid hot summers
