A few things occur to me........
New batteries aren't necessary perfect or prone to early or almost immediate failure-----check your alternators output to see if its actually charging.
Get the DTC's read even if its at an Advanced Auto Parts store or someone similar. It might be just coincidental or it could be connected--tough to tell without knowing the codes.

There was an issue with the 3-valver when changing the battery. For some reason, a MAF cleaning would clear up some weird idle issues.
But throwing a code? Get it read and report back.
