duracolor primer

i am about to begin doing some body work on my 68 and i was wondering if anyone here had any issues with the duracolor primer in the rattle cans. my delima is time i dont have the time to do all the sanding and filling and welding in a day or a weekend so i have decided to work on a fender then a door then a couple of spots here and there and i dont wanna leave the metal bare while i move around from spot to spot. ive never done much body work so i want to take my time and do the best job i can. will i have to remove all of this primer after i finish my body work and then re prime the whole truck? i have access to a spray gun and compressor setup and i have not decided on what brand paint to use on the final finish i am hopeing that mabey duracolor has a base coat clear coat that will go over their rattle can primer without any tragic reactions. this is their sandable primer thanks

I'D STAY AWAY FROM RATTLE CANS IF YOU PLAN TO PAINT
use a urethane 2k primer you can spot prime the areas you fix then sand and prime the whole panel when you get the time.
