302 ignition timing
What should the timing for a 1970 302 with a 2 barrel carb be set to?

Anywhere from 6 to 10 degrees BTDC initial would be fine. The more the merrier, until it detonates.

The more the merrier indeed...mine is closer to 12 degrees. Most books say anywhere from 6 to 8 degrees, I try to start at 8 degrees and push it to 10, if not more.
