Brake booster
Ok guys heres another problem I am having. I had hard brakes and changed the brake booster and pump and now have good brakes. The only problem is that I have to press on the brake pedal really hard to shift the truck into drive. My daughter drives the truck allot and cannot press on the pedal hard enough to shift it into drive. all the vacumn hoses are good. any help would be appreciated.

The items you replaced do not have anything to do with this problem. The Brake Interlock Switch, BIS, is not being activated when the pedal is pressed or the BIS solenoid needs adjusting or replacement. It's on the bottom of the steering column (see pict below). The brake light switch activates the BIS.....make sure your brake lights are coming on when the pedal is pressed. The Brake light switch may need adjustment.
