What is the differance in the speeds of reducer? I see there is fast, medium and slow, some places have even more choices, trying to figure out what one to get.
Simply put, they're rated for the temperature you plan on shooting at. Determines how quickly the paint does it's proper chemical reaction. Colder weather, faster reducer, warmer the weather, slower the reducer.
Too fast reducer(for given conditions) will also not allow the coating an opportunity to flow or lay out properly.
Here are the temp ranges for one of my paint lines reducers.
Fast (spot and panel repairs) 60-75F
Medium (spot and panel repairs and larger areas) 70-85F
Slow (large areas and complete paint jobs) 80-95F
Extra Slow above 95F.
