74 breakerless, need resistor

I recently installed a 74 model 460 with breakerless ignition in a 65 pickup. I used the coil, ignition module, and complete ignition wiring harness from the 74, all the other wiring is stock 65. After running the truck a few days, I realized I had not installed a resistor or a resistance wire anywhere in the "run" wiring. What would anyone recommend? Resistance wire, ballast resistor, coil with built in resistor, what would be the best? Is one way any better or worse than the other? Thanks

If you are using the original points style harness, it should already have the resistance wire in it. You can check this by running the engine and while it's running, check the voltage at the coil +. It will be something less than 12v, it may even be down around 9v. If it's 12v or higher, then you must not be using the original 65 coil wire, or someone has done a re-wire along the way. All points systems used the resistor or resistance wire also. If you find you need a resistor, just go to the parts store and get one for a Chrysler product.

Didn't think of checking the original wire. Checked the wire in the original harness today and it showed 7-8 volts. Guess I'm good to go!! Thanks for the help.
