Odd failure....
My Father-in-Law's 2011 6.7 busted the high pressure power steering hose yesterday. He pulled into the BBQ place for lunch and when he got out there was fluid pouring out from under the hood. He hopes to have it back today. This is his second 6.7 and only has 4K miles. His first one he took off the lot when his 6.4 F450 lost the fuel system and was in the shop for 3 weeks and he did not like the color, nor the missing tailgate step so at 22K miles he traded it and ordered one like he wanted. His first one was trouble free. This failure has got to be a fluke of manufacturing. I hope so atleast but I know I will keep a close eye on mine. So far mine has been trouble free but I am only at 13.5K miles.
