decoding a 302
i have done some reserch trying to decode our 302,i am not computer savy so there for i am pulling my hair out(what i have left)can anyone give me a helping hand here?our numbers shown are D10E-6016-AA thanks for any help you can give me.

D = Decade 1970
10 = Year 1971
0 = Vehicle = Fairlane, Torino
E = Type of Part = Engine
6016 = Basic Part #
A = 289/302
A = First Design
Anyone is free to correct me if they feel I'm wrong. I think I am very close.

I decoded for him. He wanted to know what 302 he had (history), based on the part number. In this case he has a 1971 302 from a Ford Fairlane or Torino that was the first design revision for the model year.
