Removing Oil Pump
Hey guys i have the flathead out of my 51 f1 now. i have everything off the motor except for the oil pump? can anyone help me with this? i took the spring out the side. i have the bottom cover and gear out of it. and i have the peak cover off the transfercase. i have tried twisting it and pulling it and i am kind of lost. can anyone help on this?

Just fine rust/sludge holding it in place between the pump housing and the block. Use a pipe wrench on the base and try to get it to move - even a tiny amt. Lots of penetrating oil and rock it back and forth.
Usually before you're done you'll break the pump housing.... but with care you can get it out.
Penetrating oil on the top end will help too. Up where it meets the idler gear - it sounds like you removed that already.
