You could get a '98 F-250.. but it looked like a F-150.
Ford shifted the F-250 and F-350 truck lines to a design mechanically and cosmetically distinct from that of the F-150. The F-350 was not available for 1998, while the F-250 was available that year with the F-150's body. By using two separate but related platforms for F-Series trucks, the inevitable compromises inherent in offering a wide range of load-carrying capacities were avoided. The main competition, General Motors, followed suit for the 2001 model year, when the Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD were introduced.
But to answer your question. No, the PSD returned in '99 in the new body.

Mike thanks for the info. BTW that is one FUGLY 250(hope it's not yours lol), makes me appreciate my obs even more
There was no 98 model year F250 heavy duty truck or F350. Ford released the Super Duty in 98 as a 99 model. That's why you often hear the term "Early 99" in the SD circles. The first run of SD's (the early 99's) had a few differences from the late 99-03 trucks. The e99 SD has a different turbo, AB injectors, 15° HPOP, 2" intake plenums, 110V IDM, and several chassis differences from the 99.5-03 trucks. The motor is much more similar to an OBS than a late SD.

It looks like that truck rolled through cow dung on the driver front. Also, it looks like he's only got 7 lug nuts. I guess he's missing a lug nut cap thing.

I know the caps are 7 lug but IIRC the wheels themselves have 8. Never cared enough about those ugly **** things to take a closer look.
