Bigger alternator
Anybody know if I can get a bigger alternator for my truck the biggest that the parts stores here list is a 80 amp and i would like to go with a 110 amp. or has anyone ever tries to fab a 160 amp off a 550 cummins?

Bigger alternator
I put a 130 amp in my plow truck last year. Got it off of Ebay from a guy in Rockford, IL. Beavco is the company name, I'm sure he's got more...you pay for the alt flat out, no core charge. This is the second alt I've bought from him(1st one was for my '83 Bronco, the 2nd for my '89 F250). I haven't had any problems at all with them. If you want his email, I'll try to look it up...
