Super Duty Seats
#2
I didnt use superduty seats exactly, but i wandered the jw for a day sitting in every seat I came accross looking for something comfortable and good looking. Stumbled upon some black buckets that look like they came out of a newer SUV of some sort stuffed in the back of a rolled 80's blazer. Fell in love with them and ended up welding up a rectangular frame out of square tubing that mounts to the original bench seat mounts. Then mounting the new seats to the basic frame was simple. Wired up the drivers seat to get the power working and i was done. Advice to anyone who is thinking about making a new frame like this...when you are making it, and when you are done, step back and ask youself if its goign to hold up in the event of an accident. If youre going to go through the trouble of doing it, dont weld up some piece of crap out of the tubing from your neighbors old trampoline that the last wind storm tore up...yes i know of a roll cage in 78 el camino that was made of that...scary stuff man

I put a superduty bench seat in my buddys 97 F250(obs). I reused the 97 seat tracks. Had to add a 2"spacer in between the front of the seat and the tracks(IIRC the seat hit the trans hump) The seat just bolted in then. The seat does sit low for the average joe, but for him(7'), his dad(6'6") and me(6'4") the lower seat is perfect
