My 53 is ready for the road finally. A few little items left to do. While driving it today decided it really could use armrests. Has anyone had good luck with fitting some from the bone yard. There kinda pricey from the venders. Thanks Bob

Bob, don't know what you consider pricey, but I used some arm rests made for Jeep Wranglers on my 48. They bolt in place of the door pulls on 97-02 (and maybe newer) Wranglers and I had to drill only one hole to fit them to my truck. I was able to use one of the interior door latch screws for the other. They are available from the Jeep aftermarket for about $59 a pair.
Went to the bone yard today and found a set off the back door of a 88 Volvo, Fit perfect and the right color. Also here is a pic of a bike rack, Made the tongue from several hitches. Only $20.00

Good score on the armrests, I like the looks of your carpet and how it's trimed out on the top and bottom pictures. Do you have any more pics of it and how it's done around the battery tray door on the passenger side if you still have the battery in the original spot please and thank you.
The carpet probably looks better in the pics then it really is. It real thin material and is the same on the passenger side, Just a piece of home depot aluminiun angle holding it down. Future project good carpet with access to batt. and master cylinder. Mid fiftys has the carpet with the access's cut in already.
Thanks for your reply. I'd like to see how the carpet looks around the battery opening before I decide if I relocate the battery. I'll check out Midfifty to see what they have. I'd imagine the carpet for a pickup should work for a panel truck and just buy extra to cover the back portion.
