had my water pump replaced a few weeks ago. ever since, the temp gauge never gets up to normal. if i let the truck idle the needle will approach the normal range, but when i'm driving (in cold temps) the needle stays at the low end. i'm guessing that means a bad thermostat, staying open & letting the antifreeze circulate through the radiator, but i'm curious why it would happen at the same time the water pump went. any ideas?
hey on my 1990 F-150 I had it did the same thing but my
temp gauge would be really high i mean off the gauge and it stayed like that for 5 years, one time i hit the dashboard and it went down to normal so it was cool to show my friends that lol...... then i sold it and never had any problems....i told the guy i sold it to and he seems like he didn't care...but you might want to have it checked out just in case
