My truck is a 1995 F250 with the 460 and the auto 4EOD.
The problem is the tranny shifts from 2 to overdrive and then hunts. I have replaced the sensor on the drivers side of the tranny and the speed sensor on the rear end. Still have the same trouble. The tranny will shift fine if I manually select 1,2 3, then OD.
If I unplug the speed sensor on the diff the abs light comes on the speedo stops working but the tranny works great. Just seems to shift a bit hard.
I have no flashing OD light and no check engine light. Tranny shop charged $40.00 to check the tranny and said there was no codes and they would need 2 or 3 hours just to try and figure it out.
Any ideas?
Nothing wrong with the fluid. Its fresh. Parked truck for 6 months. It drove fine untill after it was parked. It drives fine and shifts good if you shift manually. Its just not working right when its in drive.
