so i just ordered some lifters off summit racing due to mine oringinal one went out or at least one of them! Is anyone else running these lifters? Should i be aware of something before i put these in my truck? I haven't received them yet so please guide me through this.
A forum member and I just had a conversation regarding changing lifters. He informed me that changing lifters w/o changing cams is a tricky proposition. Cams and lifters mate for life. When you change them, they may take, and they may not.
About the Comp Cams lifters: I would google 'comp cams complaints' and read a bit. I found many owners complaining about the lifters. It seems quite common to have CC lifters break up with in an hour of installation. Read for yourself. When I did the same search for Isky cams complaints, I came up empty.
If it were me, I would not risk those lifters. You may find out otherwise.
