I was on some site looking at Diamond Eye exhaust kits and they offered something like 4 muffler choices. There was the Diamond Eye muffler, straight pipe, aeroturbine, and I don't remember the last choice. So anyway, is a straight pipe too loud with a gutted cat? I'm going with the least expensive route but don't want to have the exhaust sound ugly and or drone.
I have extremely close neighbors - proximity speaking.. I had one complaint about warming my truck up for too long on a frozen day. The guy has a drafty house and "choked" on the fumes. I am not staying in the best place for my big truck named "Orca Blanca". Took a nice drive today though -
I love the way my exhaust sounds, it exits right in front of the rear tire, no muff or cat. <250 bucks total in it, including the downpipe. It's quite noisy though, close city neighbors might not like it.
Guess I'll just kill the cat since the stock muffler flows pretty well from what I hear. There is no smog in this county. I got this truck with a Banks downpipe and the rest was left stock. Seems odd to me to have a downpipe with the kitty.. The kitty has to go, I'm allergic anyway . .
