really, how does this happen?
About three weeks ago it threw a code for evaporative emissions. I replaced the fuel cap, but still a problem, so we hooked a fog machine up to the truck and blew smoke threw it. Found a cracked hose on top of the gas tank, so I replaced it from the fuel filter to the tank the whole assembly together (how it comes from ford). that is the background.
So here is the problem, It just started Not allowing me to put fuel in the tank. Well if I pump it real slow I can do it but it takes about 15 minutes to do it. I can hear the gas tank fill with air, and this causes the filler tube to back up with fuel and stop the pump nozzel from filling the truck. I will stop the pump and let the air escape, and start again. I checked all the connections to the tank and they are fine. It is throwing a code of P1450 Which is "unable to bleed up fuel tank vacuum".
Has anyone delt with this, it calls for a bunch of different fixes but I am hoping someone can pin point it. thanks
