injection pump rebuild article

Just got true blue ford trucks issue 7 in the mail today. First part of the series is disassembling the injection pump on the idi, the next one will be putting it back together with a seal kit, and new parts needed. Just an idea a seal kit is $25 iirc dollars. With some labor investment you can have a cheap injection pump rebuilt right.

Oooh, I am very interested in this. I am planning to replace my pump soon with a rebuilt U-haul pump and I will have the old one out. I want to rebuild it and have a good spare for the future. Can you post any more info?

Looks like the back issues only go to #4. Have to save the link and wait for the newer ones to be listed... Very interested in the article.

Not sure guys,, but I believe you need a little more than a seal kit etc. to do this job. I think that need a pump bench to set it all up properly and they are expensive. That is one of the reasons shop charge so much to rebuild them.

In the article they say get new parts if they are worn out, and they take measurements of certain things so they do not need to be readjusted on a pump tester. I'm sure the next part will go more over replacing parts.
