I found a set of aluminum valve covers from a plenum motor & i would like to use them on my 1980 351w. my question is will they work? these have the long spout for the oil filler cap with a spot for a breather hose, but nowhere for a PCV valve to go.
What do the newer motors use for a PVC system, and would anyone know if i could make this work?
They will bolt on. The PCV is located at the back of the manifold, about where you would find the Dist. on a Chevy V8. You could drill a hole in one of the valve covers and then install a rubber grommet to hold the PCV. You will have to be carefull where you drill that hole. It has to clear the rocker arms & valve springs.

Sounds like mustang valve covers.. the PVC was in the back of the lower intake manifold.
Thanks for the replies.
I was thinking of drilling it and trying to fabricate an oil baffle for the PCV valve, but its starting to sound easier just to buy some different covers.
My main reason for wanting to use these covers is that they are flat on the top, i was thinking of polishing them & cutting into the top of them a little with a dremel so i could make a set of custom covers that say f 100. I guess i'll see where the ambition train takes me lol.
