I thought I was registered with this site already, but I guess not. Anyway, love the site, been coming here for tips and tricks for a while now, but I guess I never tried posting.
My ride: 1977 F-150 4x4. Reg cab, short bed. 9" skyjacker suspension lift and 38" super swamper tsl's. 351M under the hood, 9" rear and dana 44 front. I can't remember which tranny. It's my project. Needs work. Working on the breaks and steering right now. Steering is sloppy, too sloppy to drive on the road safely, and the breaks are spoungy, but do stop the truck. I want them tighter though.
I'm thinking I didn't bench bleed my MC long enough before I put it on, on the breaks issue. I haven't checked my rag joint. The tie rod ends on my drag link have some play in them, so I am thinking that that might be a fairly big portion of my problem.
And thanks for the welcome! Anyone in the Ft. Huachuca, Arizona area? I'm moving there tomorrow.
Yes if there is air in the line that will be the cause, and same as your tie rods. How is your steering box? Hopefully it's just the tie rods and you can save some scratch to spend on something else. Prolly gas tho...
