Hey everyone, I'm new around here so I'm in need of some help. I'm about to get my first car and I want it to be a Ranchero. I'm thinking that I want to get a '79 but I have some important questions I need answered.
#1 (and possibly most important). How much leg room is there in the driver's side of a Ranchero? I'm 6'6" and I've discovered that when shopping for cars I need to ask this question. Do you think someone as big as me could comfortably drive a '79 Ranchero??
#2. Are there any good websites out there for parts and accessories for Rancheros?
#3. Are there any problems that you've found to be true for most '79 Rancheros? I read something about allignment on here but could you explain that if it applies to the '79?
I hope someone out there can help me, I really need it!
PLEEEEEEEEASE RESPOND!!
Hi big remo, welcome! you may just have to sit in one to decide if it fits. i'm maybe 5'8" and the seats go too far back for me with plenty of head room. here's a link to a ranchero owners site, www.ranchero.org and for parts i found this site, www.blueoval6079.com or ebay. it's a car! it's a truck!
I've got a 77 Ranchero (same body as the 79) and I'm 5'10" and have more than enough leg room. As for things to look out for.... My 77 with a 400 M likes to eat igntion modules. I've put 3 in it in the 4 years I've owned it.
