Edge CTS Turbo Timer Settings?

Just finnished my Edge CTS install with EGT probe and turbo timer and all went well, the drilling, tapping and wiring I was afraid I might burn up some wiring but it all works great!

EGT's around 500 to 700 Deg. until you romp it then I saw over 1100 but just for a second.

The timer sets at a preset time or by EGT Temps, have seen to set around 370 Deg. is that right?

Others more knowledgeable will chime in, but I would consider a few things:
  • what type of oil (syn vs. dyno)?
  • do you have the updated turbo drain tube?
  • where is yur egt probe?
I'm running syn, have the updated drain tube and my egt probe is pre-turbo. I let my egt cool down to 325 prior to shut down with normal driving. I would go lower if I was working it hard.

Always ran Syn, don't know about the tube it got a turbo at 100000, and probes in driver side manifold end.

Took a drive last night and with the cooler temps outside it did not run very long set at 370!

325 seems too low... my truck would have to idle for 30 minutes after running on the highway to get that low. I usually shut mine down at 380, so setting at 370 should be plenty fine.

How easy is that timer to use? I'm wondering if my wife could figure it out without too much trouble. My other option is get a remote start and use the timer feature.

Does the timer work in conjunction with the high idle mod?

Sparkkkky.. I don't wanna high jack your thread but (lol) I am 95% leaning on buying the edge cts with the juice but am kinda scared to do my own install. on a rate of 1-10, with 10 being the hardest, what would you rate? this would be my 1st mod with my 05 f250.

5 I was scared of the tapping the manifold but it went smooth and I am a electrical contractor so that helped.

The timer is preset time or if you have the manifold probe you can pick a shut of Temp. high idle should not matter.
