Billet filter caps

So, like others, when I went to change my fuel filters, the lower fuel filter cap (on the frame) was stripped due to some knucklehead not knowing what they were doing. The upper fuel filter cap (on the block) broke because I used a 1/2" drive ratchet to remove it and broke the plastic hex.

Is it ok to use billets caps? Are there caps for the upper and lower fuel filters?

I own a 2003 6.0l and would rather have something more durable than plastic.

Thanks

Lots of guys run them. Most are tapped for a pressure sender in the center, which is a reason to use them, along with a clean look. This shop has a set of all three:
6.0L Ford Powerstroke Billet Fuel/Oil Caps

Personally, I wouldn't use them unless I needed the tapped port. If the thing crossthreads, I would rather screw up a plastic cap than an aluminum housing. But to each their own. I am sure they work fine for the job.
