Shift linkage
I have a Ford 302 with a c4 transmission in my 56. I have added the Toyota gear box the other night, but when I put the new steering column in the bracket at the bottom for the shift linkage interferes with the brake pedal. Has anyone out there had this prob??? What's the fix??? Any help or suggestions will be much appreciated.

It's an Ididt tilt column. I can move the bracket over, but I am thinking that the angle from the column bracket to the transmission linkage will be to steap of an angle making it difficult to shift. plus the linkage rod will still cross under the brake pedal. Was thinking I may have to change the coupling to a rag type?? This will cause the column to drop 2 or 3 inches and maybe this will clear the brake pedal...maybe some pictures from other trucks will help......
