AC operation
74 F100 with factory installed AC, just fixed AC system to make cold air, when in AC mode on control panel, air is coming out of the vents in dash and on the floor from where heat would come from if i was using the heater. When in heat mode air only comes from the floor area and not the dash vents. Is the AC mode operating correctly the way Ford designed it? Thank you.

Sounds to me like it is...........I dont think they started the bi level heat thing until later years. I personally don't like having warm air come out the dash vents when running the heater.............dries out my eyeballs...................

I did not think they had bi level either in 74. I think the damper door is stuck between heat and cold but was waiting for someone to say one way or the other the way it is supposed to be before going into the dash.
