vent window rattles?

I bought a full window seal/weather stripping kit. However, I have an issue...or I think I do. The metal frame which has the latch on it...is there a seal that the actual glass sets in in that metal frame? I do not remember taking anything off of it but I do remember it was hell of a lot tighter. In fact the glass sits in that metal frame and rattles. I have not assembled the entire door yet but this is just the issue I noticed as I began checking everything before assembly. Any ideas guys?

I just went and looked at mine. It seems there is a thin rubber seal between the glass and metal. It's only like 1/16" or so thick.

Yep vent window has a seal all the way around to. I wonder if somebody took it out? I have never seen one of those rot completely off.

windshield adhesive compound is what Im going to use to re-set the glass after I re-painted the frame, still have to go get it from Autosone.
