Frames are not the same. You could cut pieces out of the other frame probably and weld them in to patch yours.

Sound like good food for thought. I talked to a sheet metal shop today and asked him about some steel he has 1/8 steel and I was going to get that 20" by 5 high and drill and bolt them in. The local body guy up the road from me wants 400 to weld frame that I get to my frame now. The bed is already off and bumper so I thought that was a bit high. What do u ( guys ) think of the drill and bolting the 1/8 steel. I don't plan on doing alot of towing what the truck for those that are woundering. Thanks for the input

Here's what I did with my F-150 just to give you an idea.

Bolting can work. If you study the back of the frame, if you make your piece an "L" shape, and drill holes for the rear spring hanger, the bumper mount holes, and the holes on the lower lip if you have a tow hitch, you will have plenty of bolts in it already just in re-mounting all that stuff. That's what I did on my old 80 on the pass side rear.
