a/c question

I'm sitting in a parking lot waiting on a guy to get here to trade parts. My a/c quit blowing from the vents and went to the defrost. I know its on the vac pump. My question is since I have warn front hubs can I just cap off the lines going to the hubs or are does the 4wd still work from my switch on tje dash??

Since you have Warn hubs, I think you can just cap those vacuum lines. Of course you'll still need the dash switch to operate the transfer case but having the vacuum lines capped won't affect anything.

I recommend you check your batteries and connections. Over the years I've gone through several sets of batteries. (I am probably on my fifth pair by now...) On my truck, the one consistent symptom that always occurs when my batteries are almost shot is just what you mentioned. I'll be parked or idling and the A/C would default to defrost and then come back later when I started moving again. If your ESOF isn't set to 4WD and you are having these symptoms then I'd check your batteries to make sure you aren't about to be stranded soon. Just an FYI...

I did switch it to 4wd to see if I could hear anything engage. I have never used the 4wd really don't have a use for it either.
