Reason: adding
Dealt w this on my buddies truck the other day. Ended up pulling the valve covers and doing the 50 cent mod. The harness' on both sides were about half out. After that the hpop was low so I had to add about a half quart to it. If it is too low you won't get fuel to the injectors. His batteries were also weak so I ended up jumping it w my truck and it started. It would turn over but not fast enough to start.

If I understand you, you added oil to your HPOP, high pressure oil pump and it started.. If so, it sounds like your check valve in the HPOP is leaking.. Check the level again after it sits all nite.. and report back..
If i understand it correctly the HPOP is what drives the injectors. Not enough oil in the HPOP res means oil cant get to the injectors so they dont fire. Dont know about the wd 40. The oil was low in my buddys truck because we had cranked on it so long without it starting, it depleted the resevoir.
