17" or 18" wheels

stealership is trying to upsell me on 18" wheels "much better resale" down the road and im going to lift anyway (but id use the stock wheelsfor plowing).....is it worth the $900 for 18" wheels down the road??

General rule of thumb is that you will never recoup the full upcharge for added equipment at the time of resale.

Yes it will make your truck more desirable, but not by a full $900.

Attached is an image of a pricing report I pulled for a 2008 F350... Note how much the wheels were worth!

As a fellow plower, I would stick with the cheaper set. As you know, the amount of crud we pick up from plowing will make any wheel look like crap. I bought the 20 inch wheels because of the look, but have already picked up a set of rims anticipating I will be plowing with her next winter (not going to stick a plow on her until the tranny issue gets resolved).
