I have a blinker and running light but no brake light on the driver side. The blinker and brake light or on the same wire so why do i have one and not the other. Bulb is ok /brake switch is ok. Have fire at the brake switch. THIS IS ON MY MUSTANG . I know this is a truck site but i need help PLEASE !!!!
Have you checked for 12V at the light socket when the brakes are applied? If not, can you run a wire from the other brake light? I always hate working on something like that as you almost have to lean a toolbox on the brake pedal when you work alone.

if you do that then you won't have turn signals, both sides would flash at the same time.
it's also not the hydraulic switch if one side works.
I think you probably have an issue with the turn signal switch, the single wire from the brake switch goes into the turn signal switch which then relays it back to the taillights. It goes through the turn signal switch so that both the left and right brake lights stay separate from each other(otherwise turn signals wouldn't work)
