Two weeks with my new 6.2L Ingot Silver Lariat and already have found two paint chips on the side of the truck (and silver is so darn difficult to repair)!!! Also found three dings in the windshield. Talk about bad #$%@#$ luck.
I got a crack in my windshield after owning it for a month. Something hit it right in the middle of the F150 logo, started out about 2 inches and has grown to about 6 inches. Still can't see it behind the rear view mirror, but I understand your frustration. I read they are making glass cheaper now, IIRC due to not being allowed to add lead in it? Nevertheless, I will have to replace it at some point when it gets worse.

That sucks but it's bound to happen. I found 1 paint chip on my front bumper yeterday, with 108 miles on the clock. Oh well, I was planning on this happening so I picked up some tuxedo black touch up paint a couple weeks before I even got my truck.
Has anyone had good experiences with Dr Colorchip or Langka on silver paint?
What ever you use to touch up your truck, go lightly and dab the chips with the pointed edge of the touch up brush. Going too wet will make the color very dark, and try to keep the color in the chip as much as possible. You may try going to a body shop and ask them to make up a touch up bottle for you, they may make one for you for free, the shop I work at usually does.
I have about six paint chips and one window... I picked up a bottle of the paint and leave in the glove box. In my history of Fords (this is my 6th in 12 years of driving) - I've NEVER had problems with paint like I do now. It's like they forgot the clearcoat or something... this dark color shows chips bad...
