Well the way I see it, they are made in America as far as I know, so they are made the right way, more than enough, because you can never have too much!

Well its been a long time since I've been able to work on the truck and I had a week off school for spring break so I got to work on it. I got the brake system all figured out and bleed so it has working breaks. Than I put the front clip on and got all the wring figured out even though some of it was hacked up by one of the PO's so I did a lot of soldering wires back together. I also got a used evaporator housing from a junk yard to replace my cracked one and while it was out I put a new heater core and blower motor in. I got all the pully's on permanently with belts and the fan hooked up. I did get the chance to put a battery in it and turn the engine over a few times with the plugs out to get everything lubricated. I did buy a radiator but I don't like it, I got it from O'reillys and its advertised as a 24X26X2 inch core but in reality the core is only 1 1/4 inched thick and I don't know if that's going to work. So next time I work on it I just have to put the right radiator in it and than do some other little things with vacuum lines, ect and get an exhaust put on it because my dad doesn't want it to be started open header. So any suggestions on Exhaust? the only brand I have experience with is Magnaflow on my 2002 f150 and I was thinking about going with them again on this truck. Enough typing here are some pictures

Finally had the opportunity to fire it up this past weekend with my dad. It didn't go as smoothly as I would have liked but the engine did run for about 10 mins and it sounded great, there was no knocking or anything. We had to shut it down because coolant started leaking out of the thermostat housing and I think I forgot to torque those bolts down but its fixed now. I still need to run the engine for atleast 20 mins and 2500 RPM or higher to break in the cam. We are having problems with the Edlebrock Carburetor too, It seems like when the secondaries opon the engine starts to stumble alot and eventually dies like its getting too much fuel. But it could have been because the timing wasn't set at 6 degrees BTDC but it is now. Next time I can start the engine and hopefully do the full break in is a week from this Saturday.

Well I did the full break in back in June but couldn't video tape it with my camera cause it wasn't working but someday i'll make a video of start up and rev. It break in went smooth we had a few leaks and they're fixed now. I've been crazy busy this summer and have had no time to work on it until this last weekend and I found a problem. The whole break system is new except the Proportioning Valve. I bent the lines on my own and replaced everything and bleed the brakes 4 times now. My problem is brake fluid is leaking out of the front resivor on the master cylinder even when the truck isn't running. It has brakes but the pedal doesnt seem very solid and it doesn't stop that great. I'm thinking there might be some blockage in the lines for the back brakes causing pressure to build and forcing it out of the master cylinder. Or the Proportioning valve might be bad. Any ideas on that?
Oh and the next thing on the list is to take the truck to the body shop so the floor boards and cab corners can be replaced.
