A question about large fords

Hi,
I do not own anything lager than a F150, but I was wondering what was the largest, in terms of ton capacity, F- series truck that ford ever produced? Also what year was it produced in?

Might have topped out at the F900. This one is 50,000 GVWR:

Used Ford F900 Truck For Sale | Cab and Chassis Truck Heavy Duty Trucks

I think these stopped when Ford sold out of the HD trucks. Now it's the F650 and F750.

I seem to recall T series, which, again iirc, were F series but tandem axle trucks, going up to T1100, but I can't find anything on them.

F1000 turns out to be the South American F100, so that's mostly what you find. Calling again on questionable memory, I thought diesel trucks got the "thousand" designation at one time. A diesel F800 became an F8000.

Stand by, someone else--perhaps Numberdummy--may come by and cause me to delete all this in shame.

Thats fine, I was mostly asking out of curiousity. I always wondered what the largest f- series was. I had at one point heard of a F1250, but I wonder if the guy was confused as to what he had.

All shop manuals in the late 50's and 60's top out a F1100. It would be considered a 5 ton truck, also read in a brochure of 100,000 lb capacity for F1100 in 1960. Im not sure what a 70's F7000 would have rated as, but I believe it was just a diesel version of the F700. All eras had a tandem axle option, sometimes called a T series, not sure of capacity on those.

Yes F1000 is a south american f100, but we also had a F1000 (there is one on this site in the galleries), they are unrelated.
